What it feels like to love you

"Loving you feels like not being embarrassed the first time you discover I’m a toe-grabber, or the time you catch me going in on that Britney Spears song when I thought you were out of the house already. It feels like not being embarrassed to tell you I actually like that Adam Lambert song and that I think Miley Cyrus is a genius. We all have our quirks, and being in love with you means knowing you’re the one person who won’t judge me for mine.

Loving you feels like having the world’s best publicist. Being with you means knowing that we will encourage each other no matter what we want to do, even if you don’t agree with me, even if you think it’s wrong, even if what I want to do is not necessarily your thing, even if the whole thing turns out to be a complete disaster. “Well hey, at least you tried!” you will always say. Love is about accepting your partner for who they are and who they want to be, not about trying to mold them to what you think they should be. Love is encouraging your partner to be the best they can, because the best relationships are the ones where you both bring the most you have to offer.

Loving you feels like learning a foreign language. At first it doesn’t make any sense to me and I don’t understand what I keep doing wrong. I’m flustered and I sound stupid. But the point of learning a language is that the more time you spend with it, the better you get. Being in love with you feels like learning more about you, what you like, what you don’t like. Loving you feels like being out and seeing something that reminds me of you. Love is like being fluent in you.

Loving you feels like coming home to a hot shoe I ordered from ASOS. Even though I already know what it looks like, now it’s here and seeing it makes it real, and I’m always excited to rip it out of the package and call it my own.

Loving you feels like being at Target and remembering that you need new underwear. All of our clothes are piled in the dirty clothes bin, and loving you means we would rather buy new socks and underwear than take the ones we have to the laundromat. When I’m picking out your new briefs, thinking about which ones you would look the cutest in, I smile because I think about how your favorite striped ones have a hole right in the ball pouch.

Loving you feels like being excited to make a home with you. It’s like making your favorite meal for dinner when you texted me about what a bad day you were having, how you were walking around in the rain all day, no umbrella, and now your socks are wet. I know how you hate wet socks. When we were first dating this was the first thing I ever cooked for you, and it’s been your favorite dish since. Cooking for you is sharing a life together. No matter what awful things happened to you out in the real world, I want you to know that when you come home, it will all be OK. 

I guess love is when we eventually lay together in the darkness, and have our ten minutes of cuddles, then both roll to our own side of the bed because neither of us can sleep while cuddling unless we’re drunk or sad and right now we’re sober and happy. You touch your big toe against mine under the sheets and we fall asleep just like this; far enough apart to fall into dreams, but pressing together regardless."

Lola's Cafe for brunch after consult on Wednesday! In my opinion it has got one of the best breakfast foodie and it's so so worth the price too, they don't charge GST!!!! Each meal's about $10-$17 and it's extremely filling. The wings are really crunchy and tasty too?! $10 for a tray :-)

The downside's the waiting time... We waited for a good solid 45 min without reservation. It's best to reserve online first @ http://lolascafe.com.sg/

Yesterday night's dinner at his place after studying at home + grocery shopping at NTUC alone and I had to lug detergent, that I've just bought from NTUC, to his place HAHAHA

Steak for dinner by Daddy Limmy whooohoooooo 600++ calories for dinner at 8pm sinful but worth it hehe :-)

Back at term 1 miss being skinnier less stressful less fair less worries less everything. Just 5 weeks to the endddddd can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

On the other hand... once A's are over it's two months to chill and everything with Lucas before he goes off to pulau tekong *cries* why FEB why!!!!!!!!

Disclaimer: Ok so I kinda exceeded my word limit so I'll answer this here! I've kinda answered it before but yeah just one last time ok?? HAHA. Also, I've just got my macbook back from his place so typing on my keyboard's so much faster than typing on my iPhone, will get to replying my email soon too (you know who you are!!) :-)

Q: "Why do you love Lucas?"

Ok I'm actually feeling kinda extra ~~sentimental~~ tonight so I'm gonna answer this. 

There's nothing NOT to love about him???  Let me digress a little... He's damn cheeky initially when we were dating and stuff he never showed his gamer side and his attention was 100% on me and rugby and sch and friends etcetc (IN NO ORDER). Then when we got tgt he decided to go back onto dota just to try one game and then he got hooked back onto it again........ And I never got him back HAHAHA now I'm just sharing him with brave frontier and dota HAHA it's like he dotas the night away and before he sleeps he'll brave frontier until he falls asleep I'm just like goodnight and I'm dead even before he completes the quest... Damn cheeky but I love it? It's nice to watch him play also :-) Especially feeling that immense sense of pride when DOTA itself mentioned Lucdx to be on a killing streak or god-like HAHA HWAH you should've see my reaction. Also, I've been suffering from insomnia the past week, sleeping past 4am and getting up at 6.30am for school but only with him I can sleep damn soundly?? There's just this warm sense of security you know what I mean? That being said..... He makes it up ahh like he's always at my disposal AHAHA we're both each other's butler we're damn lazy to get things ourselves but for each other we'll whine a little first before proceeding to take the item for each other eg A GLASS OF WATER? HAAHHAA. 

He's the one that holds me down to reality and remind me of my goals and that I need to be serious right from the beginning in order to achieve it and he made me a better person? Things that I do wrongly he'll tell me I'm going overboard or that I'm over analyzing etc and definitely made me stronger, less of an overly attached person and more independent (I hope) than before. He doesn't rlly express it well but he does it in his little actions and tolerating my crap whenever I pms and overanalyzes every.single.thing I'm sorry beebs:-( (if you're reading this!!)

He made me a much of a spontaneous person than before, more willing to take risks and knowing how to have fun (ok I'm usually a very typical uptight and must-do-this-the-correct-and-perfect-way-freak) and be more bold and daring to do more things beyond my comfort zone, to speak to strangers on the phone to order things myself - things I never once liked/was afraid of doing. And I've learnt a lot of things being together with him - from knowledge of food to games to life hacks to general knowledge and knowing how to cook more stuff than just an egg and being more neat and tidy (tho it's a tough process) and yeah. He exudes positive vibes which influenced me to be positive and happy the way I am todayyyy!!!

Okay and to add on to the cheekiness part, he likes to record me when I snore??!?!?!??? Geez and I sounded like a fire breathing dragon having a cold ₍₍ (̨̡ ‾᷄ᗣ‾᷅ )̧̢ ₎₎

Ya there's a lot more that I can go on mentioning here but that's about it that I'm gonna share and I don't want to sound like I'm bloasting or gloating or anything but I'm sure everyone's special half makes you feel this way too, making you a better person, happy and feeling a sense of security etc etc in their unique ways only viable to you ;-) Even for their flaws you'll love them wholeheartedly!

Probably gonna be blogging less since A's are almost here like what... 3 weeks?! Thinking of vlogging once A's are over hehehe it'll be a form of motivation to live my post As life more... interestingly. HAHA I hope. All the best to the little ones taking their O's really soon, and to those dying for A's to be over and done with, hang in there the end is really near just 6 weeeeks :-) (and hang out with you soon proper in 6 weeks love ♥♥)

Chanced upon a really cute article shared on Facebook on couples!! Hahaha okay IMO some parts are quite relatable and some of you may go "Huhhh really meh? I don't think so.." etc etc this and that but it's just different perspectives and values we all adopt? Last minute impromptu decision to thread eyebrows at Rupini's at Orchard Midpoint :-)

Since Louis and I threaded ours only 2 days back at my usual Hougang Kushi's, Louis and I gave it a miss whereas Beatrice, Lucas, Jew and Justin had theirs done! It was Jew and Lucas' first time threading HAHAHAHAAAH all in the name of peer pressure (not girlfriend pressure, I swear I told him it's up to him but Justin just dragged him to the chair HAAHAHA)
