#lulextravels - Bangkok

Spent the night before packing our shit and only occupying 1/2 of the luggage to make space for our loots back :--)) and at 5am the next morning we were off!!! To catch our 820am flight. Caught the first bus to the airport at 530am HAHAHAH but t'was a good experience though. :-)

We were freeeeeezing on the plane!! All we had was a dress and singlet respectively neither of us brought a hoodie or cardigan along because we were too into the fact that Bangkok is scorching hot that we forgot about the plane ride there..

Nonetheless, happiness overrules so yeap we were pretty much hyped up over the fact that this is our first overseas trip together / soon we'll be landing on the land of smiles :-)

"Ok I'm just gonna follow your face"

Heh heh sleepyhead :-P
Ok I died right after this picture too and woke up to the pilot announcing our descend to Bangkok in the next 15 minutes whoooopieeeee ^_^

Here we are! Cleared immigration smoothly then proceeded to our hotel to check in etc before starting the day off with glorious thai food at Platinum's food court?!?!?! Sadly I didn't manage to take any pictures because we were starving so badly I forgot my phone/camera existed. The world's really small we bumped into Tyler our A&F colleague and his gf there at Platinum Mall too!! :-)

Big C Supercenter (just opposite Siam Central World) for some grocery shopping after shopping at Platinum :-)

It's really huge the supermarkets here are ginormous (2 stories minimum) AND they have EVERYTHING it's like Giant / Carrfour X 3

Planned on lugging our grocery goods from Big C all the way back to our hotel but... It was impossible it was so freaking heavy and humid despite it being night time. So we took a tuktuk back instead! Which cost... 50baht?! (SGD$2 damn cheap....)

Dumped everything there before heading to Siam for dinner / mini exploration via the BTS!

Combed Sukhumvit area for a bit before settling down at this restaurant (HAHAHAH it was recommended by Trip Advisor) despite the weird name of the restaurant, their food is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Thai food!!) And the ambience... it's super pretty and unique? Just a reminder to spam yourself with insect repellant if not you'll end up feeding the mozzies there. It's relatively near Asok BTS btw :-)

Cabbages & Condoms

Not forgetting our fried chicken too which came a bit later! A pity the honey chicken was sold out before we could even try (the other time we wanted to try the fish from Bangkok Jam at Plaza Sing it was sold out too...)

That explains this photo I tweeted hahahaha they have a lot of shit there just go explore and try out if you're willing to walk :-)

Next up we walked to Soi Cowboy which was just nearby Terminal 21!!! It's one of the red light districts in Bangkok and it's our first time so yeappp checked checked

We made out of it alive!!! Twice!! HAHA a ladyman grabbed Luc by this left hand and dragged him and I was stunned and when I took a glance at Luc I realized he was more scared than me...

Walked around Terminal 21 for a bit (shops were mostly closed already by that time it was 9pm ish?) before heading back for the day!

Day 2

Breakkie for championssss and for us to stock up against the crazy heat and distance we've to cover..

After You for.. lunch time desserts? Cuz we were quite full from breakfast still and were not that hungryyyy

Tuktuk timeee (from MBK back to Platinum) Yes, we walked around the whole Siam malls + Siam Square to MBK!!!

:-)

And back here again with our standard 4 bowls/plates of food (3 his, 1 mine HAHAHA)

Day 3

Woke up past our breakfast time (10.30am) so we had cup porridge which we bought from 7-11 the night before yumm 2 cups for only 20baht?! Off we went to scavenge for the highly raved Roast at Thong Lo!!

Bangkok's Starbucks... Love how much effort they put into designing it and stuff there's even a vintage car outside????

After walking for 30 minutes from Thong Lo BTS station, we finally found it... It's situated at Thong Lo Soi 13! Just... keep walking in until you see Seenspace Center

TADAH. Love love love the ambience! And the whole concept? Really modern I guess and it's a little pricey for food in Thailand but it's worth it in my opinion :-)

Roast Coffee & Eatery
Seenspace Center Thong Lor Soi 13
Bangkok 10110

Opening hours: Mon – Thu: 10am-11pm, Fri-Sat: 9am-12:30am, Sun: 9am-11pm

We tried the Basil and Goats Cheese Frittatina / Truffle Alfredo it's super creamy but it's damn good??? Albeit a little not filling...

(A little off topic here but I bumped into Nicole and Camillia Kittivat the mixed thai angmoh twins??? What the hell man they were just seated behind Lucas on the right of the bottom picture can you spot a mini head sticking out lying on the sofa.. YESSSSSS they're freaking gorgeous but sobs no balls me didn't dare to ask for a picture...) go check their insta out they're the same age as me... @nicolekittivat / @camillakittivat

LOOK SHES LEAVING!!!!!!! Most right girl of the picture below.

Then we continued on our hunt back to the BTS... Which took another 30 minutes wow IDK how Jess only took 5 minutes I think she knew a short cut which I don't :-(

Went back to Siam in hope of just walking around but guess which superstar I saw?!?!?!!?! WTF it's Min Pechaya from Channel 7!! This local thai drama actress hahahaha she's always on the purple bottle of Sunsilk if you realize. I guess she's now on the orange bottle too hehe.

Quite a stalker but who cares man was literally spazzing there and she looked over!!! Even Lucas went "hey she looked at me!" HAHHA
Alex:"more like me"

Decided on an impromptu movie!!! Bad neighbours HAHAHA cuz its ony M18 here? It's quite comical yet crude/wild....

After the movie these 2 kiddos caught our eyes!! Ok not only ours but many audience's too! Basically there was a crowd forming around the shop (just like Singapore's Stickys) cuz these 2 Korean kids were learning how to make the ones with hearts!

Much perfection in one picture.... I melted.

Settled for roadside food just beside/outside Siam Central World. The freaking salted BBQ fish was so fucking food we devoured it in 15 minutes?! Both sides. The honey chicken was bland tho.. Saved space for the stomach for...

ROADSIDE ROTI PRATA BABY. SO FUCKING GOOD HAHAHAH can I have it the same way here in Singapore... Made friends with the Indian selling this / he picked up Thai himself could hear the indian accent beneath his Thai it's quite amazing :-) EVERYONE IS SO LOVELY HERE and super friendly????

Explored around town / Amarin Plaza / Walked the whole surrounding borders of Mahadlekluang area before heading back to our hotel with Lu drenched in sweat but for me... I'm just sticky zz losuy metabolism.

Another Starbucks in Bangkok??? Such amazing ambience?? And the lightssssss. We need to step up our game man we pale in comparison...

Day 4

Last day here in my second homeland which kinda sucks cuz we realized there's a lot of places we haven't visited but it's ok we'll be back a second time!!! Breakfast to prepare from the extreme heat and crowd we'll be facing in Chatuchak Market

Offered the driver 150 baht for the ride from our hotel to JJ market in which he initially declined cuz he said it was too far and jammed up / 150 baht is too little. So we left and was about to take the escalator up to the BTS when he chased us and said 150 will do!

It was indeed a long journey despite him taking all the short cuts HAAHA we felt bad so we paid him 200 baht instead when we arrived!!!

The.blazing.sun.was.insane.

Managed to get quite a bit of stuff at damn cheap prices? The perks of being able to speak thai heh ^_^ and blend in as one of them HAHA Lu just keeps quiet and watch me and when I can't decide whether to get it at the end of the day he doesn't even need to ask me how much is it anymore cuz he managed to learn the numbers and a few basic words in thai hehe thank u bb <3

MASSAGE TIME / someone scared of being ticklish HAHAAH

Meet Malcolm, our new pet lizard which we got it off the animal section for 15 baht. (SGD 60cents) HAHAHAHA

Random roadside stall's thai iced milk tea which tasted like heaven according to him

"wtf try this it's very good it's very good!!!!!" - Lucas

On the other hand this oreo drink here wasn't that good...

Got couple pencil cases too HAHAHAA cute no?!?!?! ;-p

Selfie with the our new pet en route to the airport via the Airport Rail Link

And the crowd was just madness the Qs were all so long? We were running late we just crossed over under the belts.

Last photo before we bid Bangkok goodbye!! Changed into fresh new clothes cuz he was drenched :-( Split ways after Chatuchak because we were running out of time / he went back to the hotel to grab our luggage on his own while i went off to Siam paragon to buy 27 donuts (which only cost 479 baht / SDG $20)

Splurged on airplane food with his remaining thai baht / replica of ernest and his eating adventures on his instagram HAHAHA

"I can see you through the holes of my cap stop taking a picture of me"

HAHAHA ostrich neck wtf freaking love you man :-))))
